Genie Bouchard to play the World Tennis Challenge in Adelaide

Genie will put more match time before the Australian Open after a good week in Auckland

Genie Bouchard competes in Adelaide

Genie Bouchard had a very good start of the season.

The Canadian had a great week in Auckland where she reached the quarters in singles after losing to Julia Goerges (that won the competition) 3-6 6-3 7-6(6). later on, genie won the doubles with Sofia Kenin to clinch her 2 career title.

Bouchard has accepted to play in Adelaide the World Tennis Challenge replacing injured Coco Vandeweghe that was meant to compete with Team Cash partnering with Borna Coric.

The World Tennis Challenge has 2 teams. The other one, called Team Leconte is represented by Vika Azarenka and Fernando Verdasco.

Genie will play against Azarenka on 2 occasions in 2 days on Monday the 7th and Tuesday the 8th at 6.30 pm on both occasions.
