Although Matteo Berrettini is now having a great time, his personal life has come under attack on social media, especially because his results are not great. The Italian hasn’t been playing well lately, and injuries have also contributed to that. He is having a good time off the court and he appeared in Miami with his girlfriend, Melissa Satta. His new relationship is not as well-liked in the tennis community as his previous one with Ajla Tomljanovic, and many people attribute his bad performance to it.
Despite Berrettini’s public denials, sources indicate that even in Italy, many people believe the 11 years older Satta is keeping Berrettini away from tennis. He continues to give tennis his whole attention, but he is also conscious of the need to enjoy life.
Unfortunately, Mellissa is constantly trolled on social media, with some fans making fun of her and Berrettini.
One fan wrote: “You [Berrettini] end up like Boateng” (Satta’s previous partner and famous soccer player). Another wrote: “A tennis player once upon the time.”
Again another comment was: “Berrettini’s career is over.” Finally, another one added: “A Toy Boy basically.”
