Nadal confirmed for Buenos Aires

Good news for Argentinean fans as Rafael Nadal has been confirmed in Buenos Aires.

The Argentina Open will take place from the 23rd to the 1st of March.

Nadal: Latin American is like home

The world no.3 had to play also last year, but he had to retire due to a (weird) stomach problem.

Rafa commented “I’m very excited to return to Argentina in February to play the Argentina Open. I love playing in Latin American because it feels like home. After having to pull out at the last minute this season due to stomach problems, I’m very excited to go back in 2015. I hope I can play my best tennis there and see all the Argentine fans, who love our sport so much.”

From the organization

Miguel Nido, the owner of the event, commented “Rafa will play because Spain lost its Davis Cup playoff against Brazil. He would have not played if the tournament had been played after the Australian Open or if Spain had played in the World Group.”

The defending champion is David Ferrer that has defeated Fognini 6-4 6-3.
