Nadal was happy to play his friend for some reasons. First it looks not quite likely that Feliciano could ever beat Rafa in a best of five context. Second the world nr.19 defeated Isner in the previous round, a player that Nadal really does not like to play with.
The match did not have a huge appeal. Rafa was just to strong and it managed to wrap it in less than 2.5 hours.
Next round Nadal will play either Berdych or Almagro. Almagro would be his pick.
