Tsonga wants shot clock vs. Djokovic and Nadal

The shot-clock is one of the innovative rules introduced by the IPTL  and probably the “most reasonable one”.

There has been a long debate about Nadal and Djokovic taking far too much time between points. This is a hot issue for 2 reasons: first it is unfair for the other players; second it makes it boring watching long matches with so many and so long interruptions in between points.

Tsonga: It may be a good idea

The Frenchman commented “It may be a good idea because some players take 40 to 45 seconds or even 1 minute between points and it is unfair for the other players.”  Jo-Wilfred is clearly referring to Nadal and Djokovic.

Then he added “The clock puts extra pressure on my serve as I am not able to focus on my serve as I usually do. but it also helps me improve the other aspects of my game so I guess it’s good.”
