Andy Murray and Daniil Medvedev are going to clash for a place in the quarters of the Brisbane International.

Murray

Andy had an extremely convincing 1st round win against James Duckworth after defeating the Aussie 6-3 6-4. The Brit looked happy with his tennis, but he remained cautious about his overall physical conditions as he needs to test how his body will hold after playing consecutive matches.

Medvedev

Seeded no.4, Daniil had a rather good second part of the last season to win the prestigious ATP500 in Tokyo coming straight from the qualifications. Currently ranked no.16, the Russian will try to break in the top10 this year.

Andy and Daniil have never played each other so far. In fact, the Russian started his ascent in the last 2 years when the Brit was sidelined by his hip injury.

My favorite players are Federer and Nadal even if I am aware that they are at the end of their career. Following the like of Shapovalov, Tsitsipas, and Coric and on the WTA side I am intrigued by Naomi Osaka, Dayana Yastremska, Amanda Anisimova, and Olga Danilovic. I am always hopeful that Genie Bouchard will find her way back.
