Carlos Alcaraz was gracious in defeat, refusing to use cramps as an excuse.

Carlos Alcaraz About Sinner

Carlos Alcaraz was extremely gracious in defeat after losing a tough match against Jannik Sinner in Miami 6-74 6-4 6-2. It was clear that in the 3rd set, Carlitos was struggling with cramps, but he refused to use this as an excuse for his loss. Soon after the match, during the press conference, Carlitos commented:

“Yeah, well, yeah, I started cramping at the beginning of the third set, but it wasn’t the reason for I lost the match.

You know, I went back after cramping at the beginning, and I started to feel better. But of course Jannik, he was better than me in the third set. That’s the truth, you know. But yeah, it was in the first game of the third set.”
