Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are definitely the best players in the world right now. During a recent interview, the Serbian sensation stated that when he is at his 100% he feels he is the best tennis player in the world.
During a recent press conference in Miami, Carlitos agreed with Novak, adding that he really wants to challenge him when he is at his 100%.
Alcaraz commented: “I agree with him. When he’s 100%, probably he’s probably one of the best players in the world. So I don’t know what to say about that question, just that what Novak has achieved… the level of Novak, for example, in Australia was unbelievable and really high. As I said before, I really want to play against Novak when he’s 100% and I’m sure I’m going to enjoy. That’s all I can say right now.”
Alcaraz in Miami, ranking, and results in 2023
Ranked no.1, the Spaniard has a compiled 17-1 record in 2023. Carlos is now competing in Miami where he bested the world no.100 Facundo Bagnis 6-0 6-2, the world no.76 Dusan Lajovic 6-0 7-65 and the world no.19 Tommy Paul 6-4 6-4.
Carlos Alcaraz will square off with the world no.10 Taylor Fritz in the quarter on Wednesday at 8:30 pm on STADIUM. In the past, they have never competed against each other so far in top tournaments.
Alcaraz clinched 2 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires and Indian Wells. The Spaniard was the runner-up in Rio de Janeiro (Rio Open).

Alcaraz will compete next in Barcelona (Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 17th of April.
Novak Djokovic in 2023
Ranked no.2, Djokovic played his last match on the 3rd of March when he lost to world no.5 Daniil Medvedev 6-4 6-4 in the semifinal in Dubai (draw).
This season Novak achieved a composed 15-1 win-loss record. The Serbian has won 2 titles in 2023 in Adelaide and Australian Open.
Djokovic has scheduled to play next in Banja Luka (Banja Luka Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 17th of April.
Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic fought against each other just once. Their head to head is 1-0 for Alcaraz. When they played, Carlos Alcaraz won 6-7(5) 7-5 7-6(5) in the semifinal in Madrid (Mutua Madrid Open) in May 2022.
