“I can’t confirm,” says Rafael Nadal about challenging Alcaraz, Djokovic in Montecarlo

This is what Rafael Nadal said about playing in Montencarlo

Nadal Montecarlos

Despite the Monte Carlo Masters appearing to confirm Rafael Nadal’s participation on social media, he has denied rumors that he will be returning there without a doubt. The Monte Carlo Masters, which start on April 9, has Nadal on the entry list, and the tournament’s social media account appears to have announced the 22-time Grand Slam champion’s return. Nadal has been sidelined by a hip injury since the Australian Open and it is not clear when he can be back to competition.

During a recent interview, Nadal commented: “I don’t know who gets this information. Obviously, if it were true, I would confirm it, but unfortunately, I can’t. I’m following my course and I don’t know when I’ll play again, that’s the truth.”

I’m in a phase of increasing work. If I knew when I was going to return, I would say so, but I don’t know. I can’t confirm that I will play in Monte Carlo, things are seen day by day. I prefer to say things when I really know them.”
