Novak Djokovic starts the new season in the best possible way with a title in Abu Dhabi at the prestigious Mubadala World Tennis Championship at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City.
The world no.1 had to battle hard in the final against a good Kevin Anderson to beat the South African 4-6 7-5 7-5. The 31-year-old won the match after a 30-shot rally that ended with a glorious forehand that put the crowd on fire.

This is the 4th time that the Serbian legend wins the title in Abu Dhabi following his triumphs in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

After the match, Nole commented
“I really am happy to have a match like this. Kevin is one of the best players in the world and he is in form. He was playing a very high level consistently throughout the match and I had to work really hard for the win.”
After the match, Djokovic celebrated his title on the social media saying: “2019 here we come #TeamDjokovic”

Nole now will compete in Doha where he will face Damir Dzumhur in the 1st round. In addition, Djokovic decided to play doubles with his brother Marko.
