Stefanos Tsitsipasis about to kickstart his campaign in Miami. Stefanos talked about his main rivals in Florida: Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev.
Stefanos Tsitsipas claims he is pleased for Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev’s success because he feels like he also gains from their success. Alcaraz won the Indian Wells Masters, regaining the top rank in the world in the process. On the other hand, Medvedev had previously won three straight championships at Rotterdam, Doha, and Dubai before losing to Alcaraz in the Indian Wells final.
Tsitsipas commented:
“I’m happy for them. I believe in the message of ubuntu. By having others be good, sort of witness the greatness of others around me, I am also allowing myself to become better too. I believe in that message and I think the fact that they’re doing well is benefitting me too and it’s giving me a clear, better view of how I should approach my game.”

Now the world no.3 (career-high), the Greek played his last match on the 10th of March when he was overcome by world no.83 Jordan Thompson 7-6(0) 4-6 7-6(5) in the 2nd round in Indian Wells (draw).
This year the Greek has a 13-3 record. Stefanos Tsitsipas’s most significant accomplishment of the current season was reaching the final at the Australian Open.
