Zverev and his love for Perth

Sascha hopes that Perth will remain on the tennis map

Sascha Zverev loves to start his seasons from Perth.

The world no.4 is beginning his 2019 for the 4th consecutive year playing the Hopman Cup. Sascha reached the final in 2108 at the Hopman Cup partnering with Angelique Kerber losing to Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic.

Unfortunately, after 31 years, this should be the last edition of this prestigious and light-hearted competition because next year the season will start with the World Team Cup that will be played in Australia in the first week of the year.

What Zverev said about Perth

The German sensation commented

“I actually don’t know what’s happening yet because it hasn’t been officially announced. I hope that this event continues in many different ways. If it stops, I would still be happy to come here for the World Team Cup.

I just love Perth, and I love being here.

Talking about winning his first slam, Sascha added

“I have improved every year.I’m still quite young, I still have a lot of things to improve.

I’m No.4 in the world now, and I still feel like I have potential. The Australian Open is a grand slam, and it’s a massive grand slam so obviously, we all want to do well here.”
