The GOAT (Greatest of All Times) has been an ongoing discussion for the past few years.
During Roger’s prime it was all clear to everybody that it was the Maestro the “Greatest”. Then Nadal came on the stage to raise some doubts with that cross-court left-handed forehand that Roger doesn’t like at all.
So who is the Greatest now? Roger or Rafa? According to Uncle Toni it’s Roger.
Toni: the GOAT is Federer…
This came out as a surprise as Toni has always said that the greatest was Rod Laver because he has managed to win 2 Gran Slams (4 majors in the same year) twice in 2 completely different moments (1962, 1969). Now Toni changes idea saying that “With all the titles he has won, there is no doubt that Federer is the greatest”.
… Djokovic is better than Nadal
Then Toni added “Rafael has won more titles than Novak Djokovic, but speaking merely about tennis and about the game, Rafa has to be considered slightly lower than Djokovic. The Serb is such a good player that he is as close as you can get to Roger Federer”.
Rafa will resume his training in a couple of days. Will he manage to make Tony to change his ideas about the GOAT?
