Ranked no.66, Stan Wawrinka is looking forward to competing again in 2019 and he is extremely excited to play in Sofia.
The former world no.3 has been struggling for a couple of years with injuries and a precarious form to cut short his 2018 after battling with a back injury.
Stan had a strong pre-season taking advantage of the service of Roger Federer’s historical fitness trainer Pierre Paganini and he is fully ready to compete in 2019.

Stan Wawrinka upcoming schedule
Wawrinka will kick-start the new season in Doha (31 December – 5 January) before playing the Australian Open (14-27 January). Later on, the Swiss will head to the Sofia Open (4-10February) where he will compete against the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Karen Khachanov, Fernando Verdasco, and Roberto Bautista-Agut.
In 2018 Stan reached the semifinal in Bulgaria after losing to Mirza Basic that eventually won the all thing.
Wawrinka expresses his excitement to play in Sofia with a post no Twitter saying
