Rafael Nadal is widely considered a real champion not only for his spectacular tennis career but also for being a constant example for everyone.
The King of Clay was spotted back in October helping the victims of a terrible flood in Sant Llorenc des Cardassar (Mallorca) that left 13 people dead.
Rafa announced that part of the proceeds from the charity golf tournament that he organized together with José María Olazabal, would go to the people affected by the flood. Eventually, the tournament didn’t raise too much money and Rafa intervened to put 1 million euros form his own pocket.
Mateu Puigròs, mayor of the affected city, commented
“We know of his immense affection and humanity that is as great as his talent and his results.”
Gesture of a champion.
