Rafael Nadal unfortunately left the top 10 after more than 18 years after struggling with another string of injuries. Nevertheless, the Spanish sensation could not refrain from congratulating his compatriot Carlos Alcaraz for getting back his world number 1 ranking from Novak Djokovic after winning the tournament in Indian Wells.

Carlos Alcaraz in 2023

At the moment ranked no.1, Carlos played his last match on the 19^th

of March when he overcame world no.5 Daniil Medvedev 6-3 6-2 in the final in Indian Wells to win his 8^th career title.

During this season Alcaraz owns a composed 14-1 match record. Carlos conquered 2 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires and Indian Wells. Carlos was the finalist in Rio de Janeiro.
