Why Emma Raducanu will not represent Great Britain in the Billie Jean King Cup tie vs. France

Emma Raducanu is "unavailable" for Great Britain's Billie Jean King Cup qualification match against France, which will be played on a hard indoor surface.

Emma Raducanu Not To Play The Bjc

As revealed by British captain Anne Keothavong, Emma Raducanu is “unavailable” for Great Britain’s forthcoming Billie Jean King Cup qualification match against France. The winner of Great Britain’s match against France on April 14–15 advances to the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart will begin on April 17. The Porsche ambassador from across the world, Raducanu, has committed to competing on Stuttgart’s clay courts. The match between France and Great Britain will be played on a hard indoor surface. As switching surfaces is never easy, Raducanu presumably chose to forego the Billie Jean King Cup qualifying matches.
