Stefanos has a 12-4 record in the Catalan city, where he reached the final in 2018 and 2021 losing to Rafael Nadal on both occasions. Last year, Stefanos lost in the quarterfinals to Carlos Alcaraz.

Casper Ruud in 2023
WWWLWWWWLW At the moment ranked no.4, the Norwegian played his last match on the 12th of March when he capitulated to world no.97 Christian Garin 6-4 7-6(2) in the 3rd round in Indian Wells (draw).
Currently, during this year the Norwegian has a 4-5 record.
Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud played each other twice. The head to head is 2-0 for Nadal. Previously, the last time they played, Rafael Nadal won 7-5 7-5 in the round robin in Turin (Nitto ATP Finals) in November 2022.
