The off-season is always a good time to redefine coaching partnerships, and sometimes we witness dramatic changes.
Simona Halep has just hired a new coach and a consultant (read article), and now it’s time for Genie Bouchard to make a move. The Canadian has just decided to split with her longtime coach Nick Saviano.
It was Saviano to break the news with an official statement “Genie and I have decided that it is best for us to end our player-coach relationship and to move in different directions for 2015. Helping Genie growing from an ambitious 12-year-old to No. 5 in the world has been an exciting journey.”
Under Saviano, Genie has reached a career high world no.5 (now world no.7), and she is ready to go for more… we still do not know who is going to take over.
