Daniil Medvedev won a rather tough match against Alexander Zverev on Wednesday in more than 3 hours and after suffering an ankle injury. The Russian player made it very clear that he is absolutely unhappy with the hard courts in the world, which are too slow. Daniel had already vented his frustration in the previous match against Ilya Ivashka after losing the first set. He made the same remarks when facing Alexander Zverev, stating that he is very well aware that the courts are too slow since he is a hard court specialist.

Medvedev commented: “I didn’t say enough. The ATP’s not doing a good enough job on checking the courts, because it’s not hard courts. They should say on the fact sheet, ‘very slow hard court.’ They’re not doing a good enough job, and there are mics, so I need people to know it. No, no no! It’s not a hard court,” he insisted. “I know what is hard court, I’m a specialist.
