Murray sends nasty reply to Kyrgios to defend Verdasco

Andy didn't sound too impressed with Nick's criticism

Andy Murray and Nick Kyrgios are in great terms, but the Brit didn’t like the last message sent over Instagram by the Australian.

What happened?

Andy posted a nice picture with Fernando Verdasco during their training in Miami saying

Andy Murray back shirt“Getting ready for 2019 ATP Tour with Verdasco on the court I’ve spent more time on than any other in the world… center court at Crandon Park. [A] bit gutted I won’t get to compete there anymore with the tournament moving next year. We didn’t discuss ice baths by the way.”

Out of the blue (and unnecessarily), Kyrgios replied

“I thought you’d be able to practice with a guy that at least says hello when he walks past people.” (Nick and Fernando are definitely not in great terms).

Andy replied

He always says hi to me and doesn’t spend the whole practice trying to hit trick shots unlike some other players out there, not naming any names [laughing faces]”

Back in March, Kyrgios attached Verdasco on Twitter and the Spaniard didn’t take it nicely.
