Amelie Mauresmo will be back coaching another top male player.

According to L’Equipe the Frenchwoman will coach her compatriot Lucas Pouille in 2019. Amelie has already coached Andy Murray from June 2014 to May 2016, but she gave up in order to have a family.

Murray parts ways with Mauresmo

The question marks are indeed how much time Mauresmo will dedicate to this new coaching partnership as she has currently 2 young children. Amelie has been named also as the new captain of the Davis Cup French team.

Currently ranked no.32, Pouille had a mediocre 2018 for his standards to end the season with an unflattering 22-20 win-loss record with one title conquered in Montpellier.

I am one of the main columnists for Tennistonic.com. I have been writing about tennis for the last 4 years. My passion for tennis dates back since the days of the Marat Safin challenging Roger Federer. I am a decent club player, but I have never reached those heights 🙂 Interested in the nextgen. Favorite players: Tsitsipas, Shapovalov, Tiafoe, De Minaur, and Coric. Curious to see what it is going to be with Kyrgios even if I am starting to think that he is a lost cause.
