Stefanos Tsitsipas Message About Train In Greece

Stefanos Tsitsipas sent his condolences to the people who lost their lives in the tragic train collision that happened late on February 28 in the Greek city of Larissa.

At least 38 people were killed when two trains collided head-on, one carrying passengers and the other cargo, sending the carriages flying off the tracks. One of the deadliest train crashes in the history of  Greece also caused havoc and panic as most of the carriages broke apart on impact and one caught fire. After a lengthy holiday weekend, many of the victims were students who were returning from the carnival in Athens.

This was his message:

“My dear fellow Greeks,

Today, we woke up to devastating news of a tragic train crash that has left us all in shock and sadness. Our hearts ache for the families and loved ones who lost their dear ones in this horrible tragedy. We extend our deepest condolences to them and stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.

The loss of innocent lives is never easy to comprehend or accept, and it’s even more painful when it happens in our own country. But in moments like these, we must come together as a nation and support each other. We must remember that we are a strong and resilient people who have faced many challenges in the past, and we will get through this one too.

As we mourn the loss of those who perished in this tragedy, let us also take a moment to reflect on the importance of safety measures and regulations. We must work together to ensure that our transport systems are safe and secure for all citizens.

Today, we stand together as one nation, united in our grief and determined to support each other through this difficult time. Let us honor the memories of those who were lost by coming together in love, compassion, and strength.

May God bless Greece and its people.”
