Djokovic massacres Berdych, clinches no.1

Great day for Novak Djokovic and his fans as Nole qualifies in style for the semifinals and clinches the world no.1 status.

Djokovic had one of his perfect days at the office against Tomas Berdych.  The Serbian grabbed an astonishing 4-0 lead in just 14 minutes that seemed to be a clear answer to Murray’s trashing at Roger’s hands (“You think you are good Roger? Look at this!!!”).

Nole won this match 69 minutes having just the same game sequence (4-0 for Nole, then 4-1, 5-1, 5-2 6-2). Eventually the Serbian scored 59 points vs. Tomas’ 34 breaking his opponent 4 times without conceding a single break point. Match Stats.

Djokovic about the match

Nole commented “It’s definitely one of the best [match]. I hoped that I could continue playing the way I played the first two matches because there was a lot of stake today. If I would win the match, I would stay No. 1 so it’s been a long year and a good season.”

The incredible group

Nole won this group trashing just everybody and dropping only 9 games in the first 3 match. That’s not an easy task when on the other side you have the Australian Open champion (Wawrinka), the US Open Champion (Cilic) and Berdych.

The semis vs. Nishikori

Nole will play Kei in the semis. Head to head is 2-all (1-all on indoor hard court)… but Nole is the clear favorite to get to the final
