Carlos Alcaraz and Paula Badosa to represent Spain in revamped Hopman Cup

The Hopman Cup is returning to the tennis calendar in 2023, with Carlos Alcaraz and Paula Badosa representing Spain. They will attempt to win Spain's fifth championship.

Alcaraz Badosa To Play The Hopman Cup

The Hopman Cup, which was last played in 2019, when the Swiss team consisted of Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic won the competition, is still shaping up for its return to the tennis calendar in 2023.

An event that will take place from July 19 to July 23 in the French city of Nice and for which the ITF has already confirmed that some outstanding rackets from the men’s and women’s circuits will be present because it is a mixed tournament.

The Hopman Cup organization has confirmed that Carlos Alcaraz and Paula Badosa will represent Spain in the competition this Tuesday, which also happens to be the day of the tournament’s presentation in Nice. After Emilio and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario in 1990, Tommy Robredo and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario in 2002, Tommy Robredo and Mara JosĂ© Martnez in 2010, and Fernando Verdasco and Anabel Medina in 2013, Alcaraz and Badosa will attempt to win Spain’s fifth championship.
