Novak Djokovic is currently in Dubai, where he is the top seed and the hot favorite to win the current ATP 500 tournament. He will face qualifier Tomas Machac in the first round.
This week, the Serbian sensation broke yet another record. Novak has managed to be the world no. 1 for 378 weeks, beating even Steffi Graff’s record (377). Djokovic is now the tennis player (male or female) to have occupied the top spot of the rankings for more weeks than anyone else in history.

At the moment ranked no.1, Djokovic played his last match on the 29th of January when he beat world no.3 Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3 7-6(4) 7-6(5) in the final of the Australian Open to win his 93rd career title.
Currently, during this year Novak achieved a compiled 12-0 record. Novak clinched 2 titles in 2023 in Adelaide and Australian Open.
He is also scheduled to play in Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open). The main draw will start on the 8th of March.
Machac in Dubai, ranking, and results in 2023
Now ranked no.130, the Czech has a 8-6 match record in 2023. Machac is playing at the moment in Dubai where he defeated the world no.79 Marton Fucsovics 4-6 6-2 6-4 and the world no.111 Matteo Arnaldi 6-0 6-1.
Tomas Machac will play the world no.1 Novak Djokovic in the 1st round on Tuesday at 7:00 pm on CENTRE COURT. In the past, they have never played each other until now in top events.
