Brad Gilbert, a former coach of Andre Agassi and well-known tennis pundit, recently expressed his shock if Carlos Alcaraz did not win another Grand Slam title within the next five years.
Alcaraz established himself in recent years by winning seven ATP singles tournaments and his first Grand Slam at the 2022 US Open. He also became the tennis player with the youngest-ever ranking at No. 1 in the world.
Brad Gilbert recently discussed Carlos Alcaraz with Vogue. The young Spaniard could potentially win six or seven Grand Slam titles over the course of the next five years, according to the American coach. However, he continued, it would be unexpected if he didn’t.
“If you told me five years from now that he’d won six or seven Slams, I wouldn’t be surprised at all. Maybe it’s 10, maybe it’s less. Obviously a big factor, too, is luck—injuries. He plays so physical. But if you told me in five years that he had only one Slam, I would be absolutely shocked,” he added.
He transcends wherever he’s playing. People everywhere want to root for him because he’s so exciting to watch.”

WWWWWWWWWW Currently the world no.2, Alcaraz has managed to achieve a composed 7-0 match record in 2023. The Spaniard is competing in Rio De Janeiro where he toppled the world no.556 Mateus Alves 6-4 6-4, the world no.86 Fabio Fognini 6-75 6-2 6-4 and the world no.80 Dusan Lajovic 6-4 7-60.
Carlos Alcaraz will play the world no.139 Nicolas Jarry in the semifinal on Saturday at 7:30 pm on QUADRA GUGA KUERTEN. They have never played each other till now on the main tour.
The Spaniard conquered 1 title in 2023 in Buenos Aires.

He is also scheduled to play in Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open) after Acapulco. The main draw will start on the 27th of February.
