Oudin to undergo heart operation

Now ranked no.169, the 23-year-old had to accept that she has to undergo a hearth operation.

Melanie has been experiencing some episodes of an accelerated heart beat either during or after matches. She had to do something about it.

From Melanie

The tennis player commented “I was convinced it was some sort of anxiety. It’s been really frustrating. I played through matches having it, because I never really knew what it was. I would try to relax and take some deep breaths and let my body relax, and then I felt better. It kind of sounds like an anxiety attack.”

Melanie tweeted “Unfortunately, I have to have a heart procedure done tomorrow morning. I’m a little nervous since this is my first surgery ever so if you guys could say a quick prayer for me that all goes well, I would really appreciate it.”

It’s not open heart surgery

The American added “it’s not open-heart surgery. Because it’s my first surgery ever, and something to do with my heart, it’s a little scary.

We are hoping that after I have this, hopefully I’ll never, ever have to deal with it again. I’ll never have to deal with it during matches; of course it’s been in my head. I feel terrible when it happens and I’m trying to play.”

The misery will not be over for Oudin as the American will also have a growth surgically removed from her eye later in November.

Melanie is expected to be “fully operational” for the beginning of next season.

All the best!!!!
