Holger Rune was hoping to have a good run in Rotterdam but Eventually, he had to stop in the second round. The Danish player could not complete his match against world no.160 Gijs Brouwer because of a wrist injury. Holger also got injured to his right wrist when he fell at the Australian Open. It is not clear if Ruen is still having issues with his wrist because of that fall.

WLLWWWLWLW Ranked world no.9 (career-high), Rune played his last match on the 16th of February when he had to retire when playing against world no.160 Gijs Brouwer in the 2nd round and the scoreline was 6-4 4-0 .
This year the Dane has an overall 8-4 win-loss record. Holger Rune’s best result of the present season was getting to the semifinal in Montpellier.
He is also scheduled to play in Acapulco (Abierto Mexicano Telcel) after Marseille. The main draw will start on the 20th of February.
