Alycia Parks had an outstanding week in Lyon, where she won the WTA250 title playing fantastic tennis. The result in the rankings is that now the upcoming American player is 29 places offer to be the new world number 51.

Currently ranked no.51 (career-high), Alycia played her last match on the 5th of February when she beat world no.5 Caroline Garcia 7-6(7) 7-5 in the final in Lyon to win her 1st career title.
This year Parks has managed to achieve a composed 6-1 record. Alycia has won 1 title in Lyon.
She is also scheduled to play in Merida (Merida Open Akron) after Doha. The main draw will start on the 13th of February.
