Alycia Parks is the player of the moment. She has just won her maiden title in Lyon after defeating Caroline Garcia in straight sets on Sunday in the final. Alycia is now ranked number 51 and she has an incredible record since last November. As per the following post, since then she has won two WTA 125 titles and one WTA 250 title. In addition, she has an outstanding 16-1 win-loss record.
Parks is now expected to compete in Linz, too. nevertheless, her participation still needs to be confirmed since she may opt to have a rest after her week in France.

Now the world no.51 (career-high), the American played her last match on the 5th of February when she overcame world no.5 Caroline Garcia 7-6(7) 7-5 in the final in Lyon to win her 1st career title.
Currently, during this year Parks has managed to achieve a compiled 6-1 record. The American clinched 1 title in Lyon.
She is also scheduled to play in Merida (Merida Open Akron) after Doha. The main draw will start on the 13th of February.
