Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas used to share a very nice relationship that unfortunately got broken after their clash in Wimbledon in 2022. On that occasion, the Greek player could not stand Nick Kyrgios’s antics. The Australian player won that match after Tsitsipas completely lost his cool. Kyrgios did not like Stefanos’s comments on the Netflix docuseries “Break Point,” when the world number 3 expressed his discomfort with Nick’s behaviour.
“He’s the one who destroyed our relationship, I didn’t do anything. I was just trying to play and someone on the other side of the network was looking for trouble, he was clowning… It depends on how you wake up each day,” he said.
Kyrgios took to Twitter, saying that it was the Greek player who misbehaved during that match. saying that it was Tsitsipas who hit somebody in the crowd with a ball, and eventually he was “taught a lesson.”
Right….. this the match he hit someone in the crowd….. belted another ball out of the stadium and got taught a lesson in front of another full stadium….. https://t.co/NU5Hs6Al0S
