Nick Kyrgios is the one to blame, according to Stefanos Tsitsipas, for “destroying” their relationship. The Australian Open finalist claimed that he did nothing improper and that the Australian is to blame for the breakdown of their friendship. Before the 2022 Wimbledon, the two were friendly and had no animosity toward one another. At Wimbledon last year, the two engaged in an intense third-round match, which Kyrgios ultimately won. While Kyrgios wanted the Greek to be punished for hitting a ball into the crowd, Tsitsipas accused him of bullying. Both players had some poignant things to say in the post-game conference.

Tsitsipas said that Kyrgios turned into a “devil” on the court when asked to comment on the top Australian player in Netflix’s most recent documentary, Break Point. The tension between the two players is only heightened by this.

He’s the one who destroyed our relationship, I didn’t do anything. I was just trying to play and someone on the other side of the network was looking for trouble, he was clowning… It depends on how you wake up each day,‘ said Stefanos.
