Carlos Alcaraz led the ATP Rankings soon after winning the US Open. However, after the last major of last year, Carlos Alcaraz didn’t manage to perform extremely well. He was unable to play in the current Australian Open because of an injury. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Novak Djokovic have just reached the Australian Open final, and whoever clinches the title will also be the new world number 1 according to the live rankings.
