Paul is currently competing at the Australian Open where he ousted the world no.167 Jan-Lennard Struff 6-1 7-66 6-2, the world no.32 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-2 2-6 6-74 6-3 6-4, the world no.39 Jenson Brooksby 6-1 6-4 6-3, the world no.25 Roberto Bautista Agut 6-2 4-6 6-2 7-5 and the world no.89 Ben Shelton 7-66 6-3 5-7 6-4.
