When he takes on Novak Djokovic on Rod Laver Arena today for a spot in the Australian Open quarterfinals, Alex de Minaur will be the center of attention, but the Australian’s girlfriend Katie Boulter has made fun of the important match. Prior to being eliminated by Jannik Sinner in the fourth round of the Australian Open last year, De Minaur achieved a career-best finish there.
Alex’s win over Benjamin Bonzi in the previous round had the full backing of the home crowd in Melbourne Park’s largest arena. He’ll also be back at the Rod Laver Arena for the crucial match with Djokovic.
On Sunday, De Minaur posted a straightforward message on Instagram,”Tomorrow 7pm RLA, it’s a date See you soon.” But the Aussie tennis star was jokingly called out by his long-term girlfriend Boulter, who replied to the post: “Who’s RLA and why they taking you on a date?”
