At just 17 years of age, Linda Fruhvirtova is one of the most exciting up-and-coming players on the WTA tour. Linda will play in the third round of the Australian Open, where she will be opposed by world no. 86, Marketa Vondrousova.

In the meantime, here is one of her pre-match warm-ups. That’s a lot of hand-eye coordination.

Fruhvirtova at the Australian Open, ranking, and results in 2023

At the moment ranked no.82, Linda owns a 2-1 record in 2023. Fruhvirtova is now having a run at the Australian Open where she ousted the world no.160 Jaimee Fourlis 6-0 6-4 and the world no.167 Kimberly Birrell 6-3 6-2.

Linda Fruhvirtova will square off with the world no.86 Marketa Vondrousova in the 3rd round on Saturday at 3:00 pm on 1573 Arena. They have never competed against each other until now on the main tour.

Fruhvirtova will compete next in Hua Hin (Thailand Open). She will begin to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 30th of January.
