The WTA has just launched a new tournament in Abu Dhabi that will be staged in February and the entry list is already great. Paula Badosa Gibert, Ons Jabeur, Veronika Kudermetova and Belinda Bencic will be among the top players who will compete in this event in the Middle East.

Paula Badosa Gibert in 2023
At the moment ranked no.16, Badosa played her last match on the 12th of January when she overcame world no.14 Beatriz Haddad Maia 7-6(5) 7-5 in the quarter in Adelaide (draw).
This season Paula achieved a composed 4-0 record. Paula Badosa Gibert’s most significant performance of this year was getting to the semifinal in Adelaide.
She is also scheduled to play in Abu Dhabi (Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open) after Abu Dhabi. The main draw will start on the 6th of February.
Jabeur at the Australian Open, ranking, and results in 2023
Currently ranked no.2 (career-high), Jabeur has an overall 3-1 record in 2023. The Tunisian is now having a run at the Australian Open where she managed to beat the world no.98 Tamara Zidansek 7-68 4-6 6-1.
She is also scheduled to play in Abu Dhabi (Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open) after Abu Dhabi. The main draw will start on the 6th of February.

Veronika Kudermetova will fight against the world no.113 Katie Volynets in the 2nd round. They have never played each other so far on the main tour.
Bencic at the Australian Open, ranking, and results in 2023
Now ranked no.10, Belinda owns a 6-1 record in 2023. Bencic is now having a run at the Australian Open where she defeated the world no.91 Viktoriya Tomova 6-1 6-2.
