Alexander Zverev has his girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, with him during the current Australian Open. They have known each other for four years.
Thomalla, the daughter of actors Simone Thomalla and André Vetters, was born on October 6, 1989, in East Berlin, East Germany. She lived in Berlin up until the age of seven before relocating to Cologne with her mother. She and her mother moved to Kleinmachnow after she finished her fourth year of school, and then to Gelsenkirchen a year later. After her mother’s divorce from Rudi Assauer, she also resided there. Thomalla participated in some amateur fights and practiced kickboxing recreationally, just like her mother.
Thomalla had previously dated Till Lindemann von Rammstein, Gavin Rossdale, and football player Loris Karius. The German and singer Andy LaPlegua married in 2016 but divorced after a year.
In the latter half of 2021, the couple formally became a couple. Zverev, who has come under scrutiny since Olga Sharypova’s accusations (domestic violence), applauded ATP for deciding to look into the situation.
