Novak Djokovic is finally back in Australia, where he won the tournament in Adelaide while receiving a fantastic reception from the local crowd. That was a situation that was completely different from the one former world number 1 faced one year ago when he was deported from Australia for not being vaccinated.

During a recent interview with 9News Melbourne, Djokovic commented:

“I was really drawn into a storm in media worldwide that was related to anything to do with COVID and the vaccine. All of a sudden, I became the villain of the world, which is obviously a terrible position to be in as an athlete.”

5, Novak played his last match on the 8^th of January when he beat world no.31 Sebastian Korda 6-7(8) 7-6(3) 6-4 in the final in Adelaide to win his 92^nd career title.

At present, during this year the Serbian has a 5-0 match record. Djokovic conquered 1 title in Adelaide.

Djokovic is scheduled to compete next at the Australian Open (Australian Open). He will begin to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January. Novak had a good draw and he is widely considered the favourite to win the tournament.
