
The Australian Open’s Tennis Plays for Peace charity event, which supported Ukraine during the ongoing war, featured Coco Gauff and Frances Tiafoe on January 11, 2023.
Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Alexander Zverev, Maria Sakkari, Grigor Dimitrov, Alex de Minaur, and the tennis players Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremska from Ukraine were also on the star-studded roster for the exhibition matches.
There was a funny episode during the event when Frances Tiafoe “lost” a rally against Coco Gauff and the American teenager could not refrain from making fun of her “opponent.”
Later, when she shared the video, she commented: ‘I waited my whole life for this.’
