Emma Raducanu in 2023
At the moment ranked no.75, the Brit played her last match on the 5th of January when she had to retire when playing against world no.122 Viktoria Kuzmova in the 2nd round and the scoreline was 0-6 7-5 0-0 .
During this season Emma has managed to achieve a compiled 1-1 match record.
Raducanu has scheduled to compete next at the Australian Open (Australian Open). She will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January.
The ASB Classic in Auckland, which took place last week, marked Raducanu’s 2023 season debut. Raducanu overcame a set and a break deficit to defeat rising young Czech Linda Fruhvirtova in her season debut. The round of 16 match for Raducanu was moved indoors because of the persistent rain. In their Auckland round of 16 match, Raducanu bashed Viktoria Kuzmova in the opening set, but she then suffered a bad ankle injury late in the second set.
After dropping the second set, Raducanu, who was already crying, decided to end the game. Raducanu is currently in Melbourne. Raducanu had a very light practice on Monday that didn’t require much movement. In a week, the Australian Open will begin, and it is hoped that Raducanu will be healthy enough to compete in the season’s first Grand Slam event.
