Venus Williams decided not to play the Australian Open anymore, citing an injury. The American sensation did not have a fantastic experience in the recent tournament in Auckland, where she lost to world no.84 Lin Zhu 3-6 6-2 7-5 in the 2nd round.

Venus Williams has withdrawn from the Australian Open due to an injury sustained at the ASB Classic in New Zealand.
