Novak Djokovic to play doubles with Nick Kyrgios before Australian Open

Kyrgios Djokovic

Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios had a rather dysfunctional relationship before January 2022. For some reason, the Australian player could not stand Djokovic and he was used to release statements against the Serbian champion. Fortunately, Nick changed his attitude when Novak Djokovic was struggling in Australia last year when he was deported. Novak appreciated his supporter and now they share a lovely bromance.

During a recent interview, Novak Djokovic confirmed that there are plans for him to play doubles with Kyrgios before the Australian Open.

“We are talking to the Australian Open about doing something in a week prior to the start of the tournament. I chatted with Nick, and I would like to play with him, and he accepted, but he wants shorter sets. Let’s see if that works out,” Novak revealed.
