Stefanos Tsitsipas is well-known for being coached by his father, Apostolos. However, according to the Greek sensation, he inherited his aggressive style from his mother, Julia, who used to play as a professional player.
During a recent interview, Stefanos revealed: “My mum was a very aggressive player. Nowadays, you don’t see many women with single-handed backhand, but she had a beautiful one. It was her best stroke that she used very effectively. It’s something I consider a strength of mine as well.
She has taught me so much about that particular shot, and she gives me advice on the net game as well.”

At the moment ranked no.4, Stefanos has achieved a 3-0 record in 2023. The Greek ended his run in the round-robin after defeating Borna Coric 6-0 6-74 7-5.
Tsitsipas is scheduled to compete next at the Australian Open (Australian Open). He will start to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January.
