Stefanos Tsitsipas had a rather tough task during the recent United Cup when he was opposed to Borna Coric on Wednesday. Just like in the US Open in 2020, Stefanos was struggling to convert match points against Borna. In New York, he couldn’t convert 6 of them, in Perth, he was in a similar situation (6 match points), but this time he came out a winner.

Things got extremely complicated for Stefanos, who won the opening set 6-0 without any problems. After losing the second set, Tsitsipas imploded, and he had to crawl back from a 1-4 scoreline. Eventually, he conquered the contest, winning 6-0 6-7⁴ 7-5.

Tsitsipas will compete next at the Australian Open (Australian Open). He will start to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January.
