Stefanos Tsitsipas seems to be in fantastic form in this 2023 after winning 2 matches at the United Cup and playing great tennis. Following his victory over Goffin, Tsitsipas discussed his current mental state, saying that he felt confident and on top of his game. Tsitsipas acknowledges that it is a wonderful place to be, but he made the point that he cannot allow himself to sit back and think that everything will be fine once he steps onto the court.
Tsitsipas commented: “It is a very nice place to be in. I wish I can be in that place more often. When you’re able to play like this, of course, you know, you don’t know what the response is going to be from the other side of the court. Your decisions are sort of part of your subconscious and you don’t even have to force anything anymore.”

Currently the world no.4, Tsitsipas played his last match on the 2nd of January when he overcame world no.53 David Goffin 6-3 6-2 in the round robin in Australia (draw).
At present, during this year Stefanos has achieved a compiled 2-0 record.
Tsitsipas is scheduled to compete next at the Australian Open (Australian Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January.
