Naomi Osaka is still an active player, but it seems more and more unlikely that she will follow a full schedule. While colleagues are in Australia excited to start the new season, Naomi publishes a series of pictures about her enjoying her stay in Europe with her boyfriend Cordae (It’s not clear if she is in Europe or else). As of now, the Japanese sensation has been hitting the headlines only for her activities outside the tennis court. Given her latest post, it seems implausible that she would be interested in playing in the Australian Open. Time will tell.

At the moment ranked no.42, the Japanese played her last match on the 20th of September when she had to retire when playing against world no.53 Daria Gavrilova in the 1st round and the scoreline was 1-0 .
Currently, during this season Naomi has achieved a 14-9 record. Naomi Osaka’s best accomplishment of the year was getting to the final in Miami.
Osaka is scheduled to compete next in Australian Open (Australian Open). She will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January.
