Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios used to have an excellent relationship before their clash at Wimbledon. On that occasion, the Australian player was in full “antics mode,” and Stefanos felt bullied. After the match, during their press conferences, there was a not-so-nice exchange of comments between the two players.
Nick and Stefanos participated in an exhibition in Riyadh. According to the rules of the event, they had to play doubles together. However, it was very clear that there was no chemistry between the two.
During a recent press conference in Perth, right before the start of the United Cup, Stefanos had a couple of digs at Kyrgios. First, he said that he was not surprised by the Australian pulling out of the United Cup, sarcastically saying that he wishes him good holidays.
Later, when asked about his experience playing doubles with Nick in Saudi Arabia, he did not make it a mystery that he was not very comfortable with that.
“What can I say? Tough to concentrate, for sure. I’ve played doubles with a lot of guys, girls as well, not that many, actually. Very difficult to concentrate. I don’t know where that energy comes from. There’s just so much of it.
You want to go about your thing. You want to concentrate on your own half of the court. There’s just noise coming from the other side of it. It’s distracting. It’s not easy.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas in 2022
At the moment ranked no.4, Tsitsipas played his last match on the 18th of November when he surrendered to world no.8 Andrey Rublev 3-6 6-3 6-2 in the round robin in the Nitto ATP Finals (draw).
This season the Greek has managed to achieve a composed 61-24 match record. Tsitsipas conquered 2 titles in 2022 in Monte-Carlo and Mallorca. Tsitsipas reached the final in Rotterdam, Rome, Cincinnati, Astana and Stockholm.
Tsitsipas is scheduled to play next in Australian Open (Australian Open). He will start from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January.
Nick Kyrgios in 2022
Currently ranked no.22, Kyrgios played his last match on the 6th of October when he beat world no.77 Kamil Majchrzak 3-6 6-2 6-2 in the 2nd round in Tokyo (draw).
Currently, during this year the Australian owns a composed 37-10 record. This year, the Australian won 1 title in Washington. The Australian was the runner-up in Wimbledon.
He is also scheduled to play in Australian Open (Australian Open) after Adelaide. The main draw will start on the 9th of January.
