Stefanos Tsitsipas has often been blamed for giving an unfair advantage to his brother Petros who has received an abnormal number of wild cards in his career because of his family. This time things went to an all-new level with Petros becoming the captain of Greece. Indeed, it seems that Team Greece has become a family affair.

Ranked world no.4, Stefanos played his last match on the 18th of November when he was overcome by world no.8 Andrey Rublev 3-6 6-3 6-2 in the round robin in the Nitto ATP Finals (draw).
At present, during this year the Greek owns an overall 61-24 win-loss record. Stefanos has won 2 titles in 2022 in Monte-Carlo and Mallorca. The Greek was the runner-up in Rotterdam, Rome, Cincinnati, Astana and Stockholm.
Tsitsipas will compete next in Australian Open (Australian Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January.
Petros Tsitsipas in 2022
Petros played his last match on the 20th of September when he had to retire when playing against Frederic Schlossmann in the qualifications and the scoreline was 6-4 4-2 .
This year the Greek has managed to achieve a compiled 8-16 record.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Petros Tsitsipas have never clashed against each other.
